Over the weekend I received 2 letter from the USCIS, The first letter was to "deschedule" my appointment for 2/13 for "unforeseeable reasons" and the second one was to reschedule my appointment for 2/27. Has this happened to anyone? Should I worry about anything related to the Background Check?

No need to worry at all.

This was probably scheduling conflict that had to be fixed.

If there was a problem with your background check you wouldn't have got the second letter.

There's always a chance that there'll be an issue with background check when you get to the interview, but it's a small risk and we all face it equally.

I see that you're in Newark... my guess (and it's just a guess) is that they are trying to finish up interviewing all the people who had their interviews canceled due to the snowstorm and so they're having to push others back by a few weeks.

So again, no need to worry.

My husband had his interview which I attended - 28 minutes of nail biting.

He passed the test but there were two things that we had to do:

1. Tax transcripts from 2011-2014 (these were included in our October packet) did they loose them??? Then they wanted Colorado also to show we did not owe them anything.

2. Proof of Marriage - are we still living together.. they wanted our mortgage statements and common bills... which again was included in the prior packet. They did not want pictures (we just traveled for Christmas to see his sister in London, traveled on our anniversary and went to Paris for the new year).

I had all the information and resent directly to the officer. We are awaiting final approval for his Oath ceremony.

So frustrating!

If you were notified of an interview has been scheduled, how long did it take for you to receive the interview letter with the appointment date?

Hi! My status was updated on 1/25/2016 that my interview was scheduled and that the letter was sent out. My lawyer said that it usually takes about 2-3 weeks to receive the letter. But within a week, I received the letter on 1/29/2016. Hopefully you will receive it soon. Good luck!

I think you should call USCIS and explain your situation. Try to speak to a tier 2 officer, they should be able to tell you about your wife's interview date.

Started with the pledge, followed by civics questions. Then while she went through my application, asked me my general info n my wife's name n dob

Had to wait around two hours after the interview to pick up the oath notice or they would've sent me in mail but I didn't wanted to wait longer.
