So my fiancé has an interview December 1 2015 but obviously I need and want it early. My mom has surgery scheduled that same week. First question if I don't go to Haiti will my fiancé be denied cause I've only been out there twice in the past 19 months but that's due to my mom being sick and my two year old son being to small to travel. Second question I have read so many people getting earlier dates for an interview how do I do that they keep telling me to check online but the dates are only in December you can't see any other date. I miss my fiancé and want to be with him but I'm just trying to get an earlier date

The petitioner is not required to be at the interview, unless specifically asked to be there. As for the interview date change, I don't see how your mom's surgery would keep your fiance from attending the interview.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Well first of all I have only been out to Haiti twice and I've heard people have been denied because of not traveling to see their fiancé more and it's difficult for me to travel to see him because of my sick mother and my two year old son. I am a single mother caring for both of them alone. Secondly I was trying to go to the interview cause people said its a better chance to be approved but the date we have falls when my mothers surgery is scheduled to be. So some people said they got earlier dates checking online but every time I go online it's only Decemeber available. So I didn't know if I was doing anything wrong but that's the purpose of my earlier date .

Hi Kekeandmodelet,

I am in Boston.. feel free to message me if you need any help. I completely understand the need to be there to solidify your case. Unfortuanltely Haiti has so much fraud that all though you dont need to be there your presence helps trememdously. I plan to attend to his interview in Nov.. I am only going for 3 days because of work. So if you could fly in Sunday or Monday and leave right after the interview that same day on the 2PM flight from American Airlines to Boston then you could be home by late night.

I plan to do the very same. Fly in Saturday and his mother will be outside with my belongings and straight to the airport I go after the interview. I dont want to take no choice if they question anything.

Nonetheless, we are haitains and we should help each other out. So feel free to contact me privately.
