My PD is 12th May 2014 and case approved on October 23rd, when should I expect the interview date any ideas.

Kamw its the same thing I'm wondering too. I don't get it,but I do...Visitor's visa fees are a big source of income so I'm guessing they put priority on getting as much of those in.. I kinda feel like we are to blame too..maybe we should be looking to make some noise at the US Ambassador to Jamaica level, similar to how people use their congressman here to get their processes moving. Squeeky wheel gets the oil.. we've been so patient and waiting quietly...if we don't speak up.. this is going to continue.

I agree and even researched how to contact him but then I get scared if I'm the only one making noise I'll be penalized. I get that all countries are different but we are the only country that takes so long and doesn't have an extenuating circumstance such as dealing with refuges. I feel as if the lack of complaining is only allowing the people of the embassy to continue making excuses. It's just like dealing with any other government agency in Jamaica-slow,painful and you have to make a nucance of yourself or wait forever.

For all the excuses made as to why Jamaica is taking so long I believe it's just boils down the to plain inefficiency. Other countries with similar levels are able to manage their load. Maybe if they weren't trying to be cheap when hiring they would be able to get the Right people to handle the job.

Hi everybody,

I came back to give our interview feedback, because this group was of a lot of help.

Interview was last monday 26th, in Cairo. The CO asked lots of questions and at the end he handed a 221g form to my husband. They did not request any more papers and they stayed with his passport, a copy of his Egyptian ID, and police Certificate.

We thought we had finished this journey but it seems it will take longer. Does anybody know how long this phase will take?

We got case complete at NVC this morning (10/27/2015). Scan date was 9/29/2015, so exactly 4 weeks elapsed.

Waiting on the interview date. The embassy is Singapore.

At least good its just AP and no denial. YAY Congratulations. No one can say. Most men through Egypt and the MENA embassies have AP. Usually doesn't last too long days, to weeks to years (Unusual) So just hang in their they just making checks and security checks.

I wish there were more expedite only threads. I know I personally will only be in the process for just a little while longer, but I know how helpful it can be to others, considering our processes are switched around ever so slightly.

With that being said.

Do I really need to follow up with embassy like I could with nvc in regards to inquiring about an interview date if it has been two weeks since case arrived to embassy?

Or should I wait for them to contact us, like they say?

It's ok dwheels76 It got resolved.I just had to fill in details. I took appointment for medical, they generally give date that is 15 days before interview. also I took biometrics appointment at mumbai consulate which is a day before my interview. feeling a little relaxed now.

I live in Toronto, Canada and will do my interview here in Canada. My greatest challenge is in choosing a hospital for the medical since I don't think I have any record of doing any vaccination. I remember I did some medical tests before I was approved to come to Canada but can't remember the medical test details. And so, I will wish to do all. Please which of the hospital is suitable for the above scenario and what should be an estimate cost?
