Hello everyone! I have a question... did any of you schedule your medical before you got a CC? I'm asking because for me, the medical center is in Bucharest, which is a 600 km drive and I will be driving there beginning of November. And since we are expecting a CC by middle of November, I was thinking to do my medical now so I won't have to drive again to Bucharest just for that..

Appreciate any answers!

I did. In our case, the medical is valid for 6 months, and I had a trip to Rio, so I went ahead the did the exam without CC. It worked well: I did the exam on July 28 and get the CC notice on Sept 28. The interview was scheduled right after that, on Oct 5 for Nov 5. So we're still within the medical's validity period.

I have called NVC and asked If my visa interview scheduled. I heard a big no :crying: . I also asked that many people got interview scheduled on the same day of CC and operator said it depends on consulate. I will keep calling to get interview date.

Wow what's going on in with Jamaica embassy, I think i seen someone on the spread sheet from July still waiting and all of Aug, are they really that far behind,

No one knows what's going on but it's about a four month wait from CC to interview because they are "back logged".

But them can give interview date for visitors visa immediately.

It does depend on the consulate. India is the second most densely populated country in the world, as far as I know. You better check the trends for your embassy to get the idea when your interview might be scheduled.

Thanks.....

Recent approvals made me think that I can get an interview scheduled like in a week after CC. I was trying out my luck to get an early interview.

This question to dwheels76 or who ever knows about this , why does the CEAC site shows 01 CLM in front of my case number ?

the number of cases. If it was you and say 2 kids they would be 02, 03. It's just an assignment number nothing more.

Well just had someone with 8/20 date get a December date. Although their name liz22 isn't on VJ (I hate when people change their names). They got date Thursday 10/22.

Just did a bunch of cleanup for Jamaica and got rid of anyone not found on VJ and no timeline. This nonsense going to stop. :goofy:

Hi all,

I'm sorry I have been absent from the forum, but the last two weeks were kind of crazy. I am working abroad, and with being a mom and preparing for the interview, there hasn't been a lot of time left. My daughter and I are finally back to Brazil, we're doing our medicals this week and my husband is coming next week to join us at the interview in 11 days...

I wanted to address some people who said the NVC informed them that they needed an additional review after getting the 3 N/As.

If you sent your documents via e-mail (Electronic Processing) instead of regular post, that probably means that the NVC has reviewed your documents, but they still need to scan the documents you've sent to the USCIS - the documents will be sent electronically to the embassy, so they need to scan whatever you sent to USCIS in paper form previously. It sounds pretty simple, but the NVC is so inefficient that in my case, it took them 25 days after I got the 3 N/As.

I can give some tips about that, so please feel free to send me a direct message.

I'm glad to see people are getting interviews in December. I really hope we can all be with our loved ones for the holidays.

Hi BRlove,

I called NVC on Oct 19th, they gave me the good news that my case was completed on October 16th. (I was like ok Great!, i don't have to bother with writing emails to senators etc)

So, I kept calling every day, and they confirmed 2 times that my case was indeed closed, just waiting for interview.

Today I call again, and this time the rep tells me that my case is NOT officially complete yet!

I called an hour later, this time another rep, she put me on hold for a few minutes. I don't know if she went to see a supervisor during this time, which I think took about 2-4 minutes, or just put me on hold to research what she sees in the computer.

It does kind of sound like, as you have been saying, they are delaying case complete officially because there is some problem of receiving the USCIS documents and scanning them into the system.

After the hold, she said that they have received everything something electronic (not from me) and they will be scheduling next. When I asked so when is the case complete, she said, as of today.

I believe the case worker has probably a couple of days to schedule my interview for December, if they don't, I'll be pushed into the next batch :(
