I am reposting this, hoping this time someone can shed some light on it.

Hi all, yesterday we received an email from RIOIVREMINDERS@STATE.GOV with the following text:

"Dear Mr. XXXX

Your relative, XXXXXX, has an interview on 05-NOV-2015 for an immigrant visa.

Please respond to this email with the date the medical exam was completed or the date for which it is scheduled. Your relative should still come to the visa interview even if he has not completed the exam yet. However this may significantly delay the visas issuance.

If you have any questions regarding your relatives case, please contact ImmigrationRio@state.gov."

It turned out the the email address they tell us to repond too was "restrictive" and the email came back. We did send another one to the consulate's email address and are waiting for their reply now.

**Our question** is, are these reminders common? Especially since our medical exam report had already been sent to the consulate on Oct 8. How to make sense of this?

This is embassy specific. No its not common. Most IR1/CR1 are on their own and nothing from embassy. I would ask in your countries forum.

Hoping for some good news this week..

Hopefully you will hear something. I thought Philippines was a relatively short wait from case complete to interview date.

Hopefully they do schedule some in December for the US Embassy in Jamaica.

It seems like a short wait, except for our case. Almost every other person from Philippines receives their date a couple days after CC. Today marks one month since CC.

Hello everyone! I have a question... did any of you schedule your medical before you got a CC? I'm asking because for me, the medical center is in Bucharest, which is a 600 km drive and I will be driving there beginning of November. And since we are expecting a CC by middle of November, I was thinking to do my medical now so I won't have to drive again to Bucharest just for that..

Appreciate any answers!

You better call your medical center. They can tell you for sure. Ours told us, we have to call 3 days prior to the interview date, not sooner :sleepy:

Sekhvaruli, thanks for that! I called as soon as I saw your post :) Just got off the phone with them and I scheduled my medical exam for 3rd of November :P The lady said I just need to know my case number, they don't need the P4 letter or anything, which is pretty sweet!

How's your case progress? Did you manage to reschedule the interview for an earlier date?

This question to dwheels76 or who ever knows about this , why does the CEAC site shows 01 CLM in front of my case number ?

This happens once your case gets ready for interview. The "01" means that this particular case is for the "01" person (i.e. the first person covered under this case). If there were multiple people under the case, then there would be an 02, 03, etc (like for parents or children). CLM is the code for your Embassy/Consulate.

No worries! You are on your way!

I didn't receive the answer yet. But even if they don't reschedule, we will be fine with December 2nd.

I wish you sooner CC! Feeling for you and your disappointment with that letter, that seemed to be the sign of CC.
