how long it takes the us embassy to scan the documents into the system ???

Whatever date they say they recevived your documents, consider it your scan date. If that's what you're asking.

1NOA: 27th Feb. 2015

USCIS approval: 17th July 2015

Scan Date NVC: 28th Sept. 2015

CC NVC: 23rd Oct. 2015

Some sort of additional processing/ sup. review/ they-don't-know-what-it-is-and-there-is-no-timeline: 12th Nov. 2015

Interview scheduled on 28th Dec. 2015

Interview Date: 1st Feb. 2016

It's just my opinion...but looking at the status over and over and over again seems pointless and only adds to the stress. One day we see 3 N/A, another day we see "PAID" the next day it's 3 N/A agai

DWheels76 explained this, but I'll try again. If you sent ORIGINAL documents to NVC, then NVC has forwarded these to the Embassy or Consulate. You are not required to bring any more originals to you

Have no idea you have no profile or timeline so don't know what embassy you speak of.

By the way have you checked your inbox this weekend. Those with your same CC got their interview scheduled Friday. You may have also I would check. I am assuming you are Pakistan I see city Islamabad, South Carolina , hmmmmm. Could you put up your flag also. Thank you

i have checked my email ... there is nothing maybe coz my case completed on thursday ..so i am expecting monday or tuesday ....

Usually takes a day to two after the CC. The interview date depends on your embassy trend. For Pakistan, probably sometime in the first week of Dec.

I received interview p4 letter from Nvc but I have doubts.

1.Is nvc interview letter valid for medical appointment or we need one from embassy? as in instructions I read they require original interview letter.

2. can I take medical and biometrics appointment right away or I have to wait till my case reaches embassy in mumbai. ceac still shows at nvc. I created profile for biometrics. unsure how to schedule the appointment I can't see dates. it says the earliest date available is 26 Oct.

about an hour give or take how big the file is. They just log your casefile. It's already been scanned by USCIS then NVC scans.

What you probably want to know is how log after interview is assigned does it take casefile to get to embassy. I would say they are mailed out any where from 2 t 3 weeks before your interview. So keep eyes on Visa Tacker for it to say REAY.

thanks a lot dwheels. for biometrics when I log in my profile at usatraveldocs I am unable to save data on profile page where it asks for passport details dob etc and shows error when I click on save tab. any suggestions.

I am reposting this, hoping this time someone can shed some light on it.

Hi all, yesterday we received an email from RIOIVREMINDERS@STATE.GOV with the following text:

"Dear Mr. XXXX

Your relative, XXXXXX, has an interview on 05-NOV-2015 for an immigrant visa.

Please respond to this email with the date the medical exam was completed or the date for which it is scheduled. Your relative should still come to the visa interview even if he has not completed the exam yet. However this may significantly delay the visas issuance.

If you have any questions regarding your relatives case, please contact ImmigrationRio@state.gov."

It turned out the the email address they tell us to repond too was "restrictive" and the email came back. We did send another one to the consulate's email address and are waiting for their reply now.

**Our question** is, are these reminders common? Especially since our medical exam report had already been sent to the consulate on Oct 8. How to make sense of this?
