How can I tell if London is up to date? Could I be added to the spreadsheet please. I tried doing it via the link, but in don't think it worked.

I saw the Embassy tweeted that they were assigning dates for non NVC on Friday, I hope that means that they'll give NVC some slots this week. I know October is fully booked, but not sure about November.

Does anybody know if it would be a bad idea to visit my SO while I'm waiting for my interview date? I have my medical scheduled, so I thought of flying after that.

Don't take an album. Everyone says they haven't been allowed to take an album in, and my husband wasn't allowed to do that. A good idea is to print something like 4 photos per a document sized page and take them in, in a neat stack, paper clipped together.

I see your NOA1 was April 2013. ..2-1/2 years ago. has anything else happened with your case since that time?

An email should be received about one week later. If a person doesn't get it after 2 weeks, they should call NVC.

Oh gosh Arther really does seem to dislike his job. Perhaps he should remember that all of our calls are why he has a pay check.

The one who told me to stop calling was a woman. I should have asked for her name. I shouldn't have been put in a position to feel I needed to explain to her why people call to ask if they have an appointment. She did say she didn't know the emails aren't always prompt, but still.....

No one would love more to NOT have to call NVC than the petitioners and applicants. At least she doesn't have to listen to that pre-recorded voice, "Currently all of our representatives are helping other customers.." and then that horrible, repetitive tune! Egads! We all want to never, ever have to call NVC again in our life.

i think we had same rep, but she somehow said it nicely. you will be notified by email once you get your interview date.

My interview is on Nov 10th and still shows 'At NVC' .. I think that should change 2 weeks before the interview .OR I could be wrong.

When we went through the process, NVC was shipping out cases within about 3 days of scheduling the interview. Now it seems that they don't ship out the cases until about 2 weeks prior to your interview. I'm not sure WHY they have changed their process, but have noted that the timing has changed.

It would be highly unusual for them to NOT ship the case in time (though it has happened, unfortunately!).

So...don't start freaking out until about 2 weeks before your interview!

Thanks. Ours left NVC "in transit" 8 Oct and shows "ready" 13 Oct. But we do know how unsettling it can be when you call NVC and inquire and they tell you dont worry, it will be there before your interview. Like seeing it in black and white for peace of mind.
