Dwheels76: when can my husband expect an interview date from Lagos ? Seems like they are moving slow . Haven't been seeing/hearing much news from fellow filers waiting for interviews at Lagos embassy. I have a January PD which I thought should move me up in line of getting an interview. Does my husband even have a chance at getting a November interview at this point?

PD: January 28

Congratulations! Did you call NVC to ask if you have an appointment, or learn about it by email?

I call NVC only once per week on Friday's to ask if we have an appointment and the last NVC representative I spoke to told me to quit calling and wait for the email! The problem with that is, from what I read in other people's posts, the interview email notice usually doesn't arrive until 1 to 3 weeks after the day NVC schedule's the interview. Algeria's and Egypt's embassies are both in the same boat. Their delays have been due to Syrian and Yemeni cases being delegated to them.

No they are really caught up. Did you check out the spreadsheet and see where Nigeria stopped? They stopped at 8/15. So maybe you will be in next batch for December or maybe they may do a second round for November.

I called the NVC friday night it was late about 10 pm, he said i have great news and told me our interview was scheduled for in november.

He did say it was just sch. that day that i had called.

I have not of yet received an email about it.

I asked him about receiving an email ,he said it probley be this week .

I used to call a couple times a week but never has anyone said not to call and wait for email. im sorry they said that to you , that wasn't very nice.

I hope you hear something soon.

Thank you! :-)

That particular representative seemed frustrated and said the majority of calls she was getting were inquiries about interviews. I explained to her that the email is most often late arriving and people really need to know asap, so they can make their medical appointment. People who learn about their appointments by phone usually have their medical appointment scheduled before the email shows up.

Be sure to make your appointment right away. One Yemeni person who had an interview in Algeria in late September posted that he had to wait something like 23 days for his appointment.

I see no case complete? How can anyone possibly guess if you aren't even done at NVC. Mumbai is pretty fast and depending when you get CC you could be in that monthly scheduling. Get CC first. Than go look at the spreadsheet get a good feel whats up..

Wow, that was quite rude and inappopriate. Calling makes sense because emails often arrive late, but even if that wasn't the case, I feel reps have no business telling people to stop calling. Guess the rep was just having a bad day, but that's still unprofessional.

Agreed, plus calling once a week is not very frequent.

I wonder if it was the infamous Arthur at the NVC lol. That is one rude rep.

Oh gosh Arther really does seem to dislike his job. Perhaps he should remember that all of our calls are why he has a pay check.

The one who told me to stop calling was a woman. I should have asked for her name. I shouldn't have been put in a position to feel I needed to explain to her why people call to ask if they have an appointment. She did say she didn't know the emails aren't always prompt, but still.....

No one would love more to NOT have to call NVC than the petitioners and applicants. At least she doesn't have to listen to that pre-recorded voice, "Currently all of our representatives are helping other customers.." and then that horrible, repetitive tune! Egads! We all want to never, ever have to call NVC again in our life.

Exactly the reason I want to know so badly if my wife has an interview yet; SO I NEVER HAVE TO CALL THEM AGAIN! Mwuahahahahahahahahahaha!
