Hi guys, newbie to this thread so plz need your help

As you can see my PD 03 Dec 2013 and my case was completed the 18 Sep 2015 but I still didn't get an interview yet... should I call NVC or should I wait more? Thank you so much

Apparently Algeria hasn't been sending appointment slots to NVC the past few months. They seem to be quite backed up due to processing Yemen's cases.

Please, I need 2 ask for the time interval between the interview and having the visa.. egyptians help me plz.. is there a spreadsheet for that or even a link to any related forum..

Congratulations. Welcome to the group. I have added you to the spreadsheet. You just got CC and there are some for Algeria in July with no interview. Check spreadsheet to get idea where you may fall. Algeria is also doing Syria and Yemen interviews and they are taking top priority I hear.

Dwheels thanks, that was really helpful, we didn't forward any communication evidence wt d I-130 petition never knew it was required, we only sumbmited our wedding pictures that's y I actually want to gather as many evidence as possible..thanks

It's not required. But you are dealing with Lagos. Every embassy wants to see different things. I can tell you Lagos, Ghana wants pictures and communication shown. Phone logs are very key. Important to read the Interview reviews.

You may not be asked but better to have and not need then need and be denied or put in AP. Remember the CO is making a decision of the bonafides of your relationship based on what you submitted. Is it enough to convince. The interview is too late to submit evidence. Second chance to submit was NVC.

All you can do now is take what you have to interview and if asked at least you have.

Yh, my friends visa got delayed cos of invalid police certificate buh was told on the interveiw day to get another one and forward to them until they can issue a VISA.. nigeria's police certificate is only valid for 3months Dnt even know y, I actually collect a new one day before yesterday cos d one I have is now invalid..so Nigerians going for an interview should take note of this..

It could have been just that persons situation. I have dealt with alot of people that police report had been expired but not asked for another. So I guess it depends. I guess what ever makes you comfortable and you want another no wahala in that.

@ Teeken... This is actually strange because i know as much as the police report expires after 3 months is valid through 1yr and has been like that. So be told to get a new one is actually new to me or is tge the changes recent or probably for some other reasons not particularly about expiry date... But thanks for the heads-up. Wife has an interview for Oct 29th at lagos (Nigeria)

Some people are told because the embassy may not have liked the police station they went to (some are suspect and fingerprints don't match because they just send any old thing ). Some people may have something on their record and they want a fresh one. The 3 months is the time to submit. Just think all Nigerian police reports are expired by the time of interview. No everyone doesn't have to get one.

Decided to share here as well. So I had my interview at the Moscow Embassy yesterday, and I had all the papers and everything in order, and a super nice consular officer, and then he sent me home to get proofs that the website where we met is not a marriage broker. *facepalm*

I already got an email from the website (Australian website, for god's sake) that they are definitely not a marriage broker and forwarded it to the embassy. Hopefully, I'll hear back from them soon or better yet have my passport with the visa back.

Hi all, I don't see anything about biometrics in NVC's letter with the interview date. Does anyone know how NVC or the consulate go about scheduling biometrics for CR1/IR1 visas? Thank you!

I believe for Brazil you do it at interview. There's only Mexico and India that I know of that has to schedule offsite biometrics appointment. Everyone else you are fingerprinted at interview. Have you gone to your info page on VJ to see if there's any information there about it?

3. That's what the whole interview is about to show evidence you are in a bonafide relationship. That's what we all are doing. Regardless the relation you have.

Cousins marrying in many countries is normal and okay.

You should read your countries interview reviews. I have read many stories of cousins marry some didn't end well some did.

Omg that's scary!! What kinda docs do you think I should take with me to the interview? All I can think of is our wedding pics, call records, chat logs, few of our pics together (I only have 2 or 3 though as he stayed for a week only after our wedding)

Visa approved on Oct 5. My review is ready in my timeline.

I picked up the passport in two days.. I just came back to my city morning 1 AM, and by 11 AM I got a message that my passport is ready for pickup.

My Interview is in Mumbai, and I live in Chennai. Both Cities are far away from each other. I didn't expect this much quick response from US Consulate
