Just called. Nothing for us, but the rep confirmed our CC date (7/20)...will call later this month, but I guess this probably means we'll have the interview in early December. sigh :clock: was really hoping to be home in time for the holidays and that hope is now fading. Thanks, US Embassy Cairo.

Don't give up hope yet. In September people were getting the good news of their October appointments all through the first 3 weeks of the month. It's only the 5th. I'm going to keep my hopes up until October 23rd, which will be my last time this month to call NVC to ask if we've got an appointment (IF we don't learn we have one sooner than that).

Dang I am so sorry for what you two ha to go through. I know its all water under the bridge but just wat to FYI anyone who comes across this post in the future and wants to know WTH can I do.

If you have filed your AOS with EAD and AP and an emergency come sup you can take you I-797 form (NOA1) to an INFOPASS appt and get your AP that same day. Be sure to bring all evidence of emergency to back your case.

Again sorry for what you suffered. But soon it will be over and hubby home with you.

Thanks Dwheels. This is one ROUGH lesson to learn the hard way.

Dwheels and all fellow VJ-ers... would like to thank you all for the support and answer to questions. Our visa got approved at USE, New Delhi. Wait was about 3 hrs but interview was real short. In fact hardly any questions. Although prior interviewees at the same window were asked a lot of evidence and questions but as soon as we walked to it, the body language of the CO was indicative of approval. And within a couple minutes she pulled out Yellow and White Sheet indicating to pay GC fees and instructions about how to pick up passport. Will write a detailed review later. I being the petitoner was allowed at all stages of the process but never asked anything.

Awesome! Congrats! Can't wait to see the full write up in your timeline or on here!

Lagos is pretty up to date when it comes to scheduling actually 3 months is way long its usually no more than 3 weeks. That's the norm. They just stopped for July and August to make room for Visitor Visa and Student scheduling like most of the other embassies did. But we free flowin again.

Do you have case Complete yet

Not sure if you were actually asking me...

Because my husband is Gambian.

But no Case Complete yet.

So I have few questions regarding my interview in November:

1. Do I need to take documents to the interview that are marked with letter F in the packet 4 interview letter?

2. Is there any fee that needs to be submitted at the embassy before interview for CR1 visa?

3. I'm married to my cousin and although it's legal in the state my husband lives in (NY) but should I still take something to prove that our marriage is not for personal benefits or fraud? How do they deal with cousin marriages at the embassy?

TIA :)

My interview in Rio is on the next day, it's a pity we won't meet. What time is your appointment? Is your spouse going with you?

Dear all, I'm using the instructions below to try to track my packet as it leaves NVC in Portsmouth, NH. My question is: What is AVR. Please see #1.

Thank you and good luck for you all.

_________________________

1- when you know from AVR that your case was forward to embassy ( mm/dd/yyyy) lets take an example case forward to embassy March 20th 2009
2- go to DHL TRACK
3- then under track list click on track reference
4- put the reference in this shape EXP19MAR2009A and push track
now we seen its completed in 2oth but we searched in 19th yes because they schedule shipping day before so DHL know in advance when they will ship it so day before will be your exact day for NVC shipping your case to your embassy
i tried it this way and worked but i found 2 cases to cairo so which one is mine dosent matter as along as i can keep an eye on it for sure the month will be changing just the example above for explanation

Boa sorte! 10:50 AM. It would be nice if our interviews were around the same time, ha? No, my spouse is not coming with me. Right now I'm trying to figure out the DHL tracking thing :-).

Can someone help me please. I posted this question over the weekend not sure it someone responded.

i applied I-130 for my mother and father at the same time. They both got the same CC date and were supposed to get same interview date. Over the weekend P4 was sent only for my mother for interview November 3. My fathers P4 was not sent. I called NVC yesterday. They confirmed my mothers interview, they confirmed that my fathers case was complete and all the guy said was "oh that's weird they weren't scheduled together." He told me to call the embassy and tell them to see if they can schedule my father the same day as my mother. I call embassy this morning and they said they can't do anything because NVC is the one who schedules interviews. So what do I do guys? Call NVC again or call embassy again but explain a different way? My mother has already scheduled her medicals for October 20.

I-130 application mailed: 05.01.15

NOA1 received: 05.04.15

NOA2 approved: 06.03.15

__________________________

NVC received petition: 06.08.15

Received case # and invoice #: 07.08.15

AOS fee & IV fee paid: 07.14.15

Application & all docs submitted to NVC: 08.25.15

Scan date: 08.26.15

CC: 09.16.15 (3 N/A's online; also confirmed with NVC)
