dWheels / Saylin and all my fellow VJrs,

Thanks a lot for all your support and guidance. I got my visa APPROVED.

just in 1 hour 45 minutes I am out with a broad Grin in my face.

They didnt ask one extra document. First Indian officer returned one pile of documents back to me and said your husband has sent lots of documents, Just saw my Birth certificate/ Marriage certificate originals. She didn't even verify that

American officer didn't ask anything. simple questions. then he was checking my I130 petition, in which we sent all our chats, mobile bills, FB, photos. Then finally said ' Your Visa is Approved'

I think it works something like this......

Say Gambia sends 3 interview slots for IR1-CR1 to NVC and there are 4 people with case complete waiting for an interview in Gambia.

Suppose their cases look like this...

A* Priority Date (date on NOA1) December 23, 2013.....CC August 30, 2015

B* Priority Date.........................May 04, 2014.... .CC August 10, 2015

C* Priority Date...................... June 25, 2014..............CC August 20, 2015

D* Priority Date..................... October 01, 2014..........CC August 01, 2015

The person whose case was complete December 23, 2013 will be the first to get an interview because he's been waiting longer than the other 3 people from the time he applied for his visa,

Out of the 4 who are waiting for an interview, the one who doesn't get one of the 3 available slots is the person who's CC was August 01, 2014, because he has waited the least amount of time since first applying for the visa.

Person D is upset because he didn't get an interview even though his CC was before the other 3 people, but then he looks at their timelines and sees when they got their NOA1, so then he understands he has waited less time than they have.

Okay. I think I get it. Thanks!

Congratulations!

Can you please fill us in on the questions that were asked and answered?

There were very few questions from the clerk who prepared our documents and even less from the officer who did the actual interview. Questions were about my spouse's current employment, when was the last time we visited the U.S., and then some questions about the AOS. I had a new AOS (current form) prepared with new asset figures. We have no income in the U.S. so we qualified based on the asset rules. No problem. There was a lot of waiting and waiting, but when our turn came it was very quick and easy! Thanks to all the members for all your help along the way! :D
