CC date does get you in the queue. PD dates usually get you the earlier dates in the month. If I have 10 cases for Lagos and you have varies CC's I am working with the PD does come in to play many times. Shouldn't someone that filed before you get a date before you.

Can you tell me more about how PD dates comes into play for the interview queue? For example my PD date is march 18, 2015

Country - Nigeria (Lagos consulate)

C C - July 29th

Interview - October 29th

Amazing. Exactly 3 months.

Well sort of.

But that's awesome!

Can you update your timeline so other Nigerians or Africans can follow your amazing timeline and use it for inspiration?

if you do not know how...

My husband flew to the USA and we married a couple weeks later. We sent in the AOS package and payment and did the biometric appt. He was with me 4 months when there was a grave family emergency back home. He didn't have the AP yet, so there was a big drama from his family over him not coming. He was always the central solid rock of the family, always the one to deal with problems. It turned into a turmoil of arguments, fighting, tears and guilt trips. Next thing ya know, my husband was on a plane, flying back home without the AP. We almost broke up over the whole mess. We patched it up between us, but there was no way to patch up the fact that he couldn't come back without his AP. Anyone who thinks leaving the USA without a needed AP will not result in their visa being "abandoned, null and void" should have a chat with me! Our only solution was to start over from scratch with CR1,

Goodness, it's terrible that there was no other way for him to come back to you other than filing an IR-1.

I'm so sorry. I hope he will get his interview soon!

Thank you! I wish they wouldn't make things so difficult. We've been living apart over a year, and so anxious for an interview.

Can someone tell me what the difference is between code Y and O in the p4 letter? They both mean "Nvc sent this form or document to the U.S Embassy or Consulate."

There is a Y after Financial Evidence but an O after Police Certificate. They apparently mean the same thing but is there a slight difference? Do we need to take these to the interview? Thanks.

I believe the O means you will need to take the original copy of the police clearance into the interview.

I think it works something like this......

Say Gambia sends 3 interview slots for IR1-CR1 to NVC and there are 4 people with case complete waiting for an interview in Gambia.

Suppose their cases look like this...

A* Priority Date (date on NOA1) December 23, 2013.....CC August 30, 2015

B* Priority Date.........................May 04, 2014.... .CC August 10, 2015

C* Priority Date...................... June 25, 2014..............CC August 20, 2015

D* Priority Date..................... October 01, 2014..........CC August 01, 2015

The person whose case was complete December 23, 2013 will be the first to get an interview because he's been waiting longer than the other 3 people from the time he applied for his visa,

Out of the 4 who are waiting for an interview, the one who doesn't get one of the 3 available slots is the person who's CC was August 01, 2014, because he has waited the least amount of time since first applying for the visa.

Person D is upset because he didn't get an interview even though his CC was before the other 3 people, but then he looks at their timelines and sees when they got their NOA1, so then he understands he has waited less time than they have.

Sounds good in theory.

Reality:

PD Feb2015 CC Sept29 Interview Nov10

PD Jul2015 CC Sept21 Interview Nov05

So basically there's no point in anyone looking at PD or CC dates, because NVC drops people into interview slots randomly. Well, that seems to be how they do everything.
