How do i get drivers license with EAD?

Hey! Quick question...

Do i just go to the DMV with my EAD card, old texas liscense and marriage certificate and passport?

I don't need to renew my ss card (from previous visa) since i have the EAD right?

All DMVs vary, review the TX requirements specifically. People dont get new numbers and and SS cards dont 'expire' and thus should not require 'renewal'

Thanks, so do i need to go to the SS office to at least change my name (since they have my old one), can i just not use the SS number, i really don't want to go there if i don't need to (takes so long here)!

You should always change the SS card from your name change. This is your personal stuff, I would take ownership of it regardless of 'how long it takes there'

Think of how long it will take to sort out later if you don't clear up changes promptly.

hey, when i go to the SS do they take a copy of my marriage cert or just look at it? we only have the official one left so i was wondering if i can take that and a non official copy of it?

It says 'original'. You may want to try calling the local office first. Or having a certified copy procured.
