Problem scheduling the interview. Please help.

My fiancé and I submitted his DS 160 and we went to the website for paying the tax fee and scheduling his interview that was listed on packet 3.

There was an option to chose which category visa you are applying for (both immigrant and non immigration visas). They had over 20 options but NONE for K1 or K3 visas. We tried calling the number listed on the website to see what the problem is but it was just an answering machine.

We can't schedule his interview until we figure out why there's no option for k1 visas to proceed to the next step.

Does anyone know what the problem is? Has this happened before?

My interview was February 2014 and I also couldn't pay or schedule my interview online. You pay at the embassy and schedule your interview via email. Not sure if the online payment/interview option has ever been available for K1

They don't do that anymore. Now you have to pay the interview fee online and schedule your interview online as well. They stopped the option of paying at the embassy and scheduling the interview over email last year. ☺️

First we have to pay the fee online and chose an interview date from the options they have listed.

We just can't get to that part because there is no option for us to select "K1" visa which is strange. We will call the embassy tomorrow and hopefully figure it out.

Yeah, I was just told that I don't know then, try calling them or check again later today, maybe it will start working again.

If you can't reach them on the phone, maybe try emailing them.

I'm not sure but they could be having technical difficulties so maybe there's something wrong with the website at the moment. We'll call tomorrow morning and see if they can tell us what to do.

I've called the Sarajevo embassy before when I had a few questions and they didn't want to answer anything and always said "you can find everything online". So, I don't know if they'll help us with this problem.

They are so helpful When I received the packet 3, it said once you have all the documents call this number to schedule an interview... and when I did, they were like oh no, we can't schedule it this way, just email us. OK... But I have to be fair, each and every time I emailed them, they replied promptly and answered all the questions that I had. But I don't know if that's changed

Let us know what happens, fingers crossed that it just starts working again today

Are you in Immigrant Visa. It's under that listing

Stay on them and use all options. Some embassy's have their own rules and they change them when and how they like. Many times you will see information on line that explains the process or procedures but that is not correct. Once you communicate with your embassy they should explain and give you the current correct information. Unfortunately you are at their mercy.
