My wife is having her interview tomorrow at the Dakar consulate .Anyone here can give us some tips as to what to be ready for? I believe we got all docs required in the appointment letter .I am just looking for some advices on what to expect and how to pass a successful interview .We all know you may have all the docs in the world to prove you live a real marriage but one CO may just not like your face :) and put you on some AP.

All you can do now is be confident and answer the questions you can. The decision really is already made before you step foot to the interview screen. So hopefully you submitted a good and robust quality petition package where nothing will be asked for or needed. Good luck.

My wife had her interview this morning was given 221g. the visa status shows AP and was told by the co that they will contact her in a week or two.which is a bummer because she has to get back to work and doesn't live in Senegal

PS; she had not completed her medical exam .would this be the reason why she was put in AP?because all documents asked were provided but the medical

Yes, of course, she can NOT be approved without the medical. Submit the medical and after they check it your status should change to Ready or

Issued. Why did she not complete a medical ?

Consulate Received : July 30,2014 Transfer to right embassy complete.

Interview Date : Oct 22, 2014

Interview Result : AP , requesting another PC (not expired) and certified divorce decree (was submitted)Stokes interview via phone for petitioner 4 hrs after interview.

Oct 23 email notification visa approved.
Visa Received : Nov. 3 , 2014 VISA IN HAND.

US Entry : Nov. 21, 2014

Marriage : Dec 27, 2014

AOS send : May 12, 2015, received May 14, 2015 USPS priority

Email &text : May 18, 2015, check cashed May 19,2015, return receipt May 21, 2015 stamped USCIS Lockbox, NOA1 (3x) May 22,2015

Biometrics : June 1, 2015 letter received for appointment June 8, 2015, successful walk-in June 1, 2015

RFE : June 12, 2015 for income not meeting guideline. Income does ( ! ) exceed guideline.

RFE response : June 26, 2015 returned with a boat load full of financial evidence.

UPDATE: July 5, 2015 updated on all 3 cases, RFE received June 30, 2015.

Service request : Aug 12, 2015, letter received that it will be processed within 90 days from receipt of RFE.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Emails : Aug 24, 2015, EAD approved, EAD card ordered.

July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

because there are only 2 recognized doctors in Dakar for a total 6 countries .evidently they were overwhelmed and couldn't handle the crowd .so the doctor told my wife her results could only be available the next day after her interview .we tried everything to convince him without success .what bothered me the most is they kept her original documents and didn't instructed her to come back with the results but rather they will contact her

Whenever they receive the medical it takes a bit to go through the results and enter into the data base so they know best when that will happen

and can't give her no certain appointment. I understand the dilemma with traveling to Dakar, been there done that about 10 years ago.

You could email them and try to request a date as soon as possible due to her work and travel back home perhaps they will be accommodating.

i am guessing the 3rd one must be new and was not added on the older lists .but however if the consulate listed 3 you can be sure its 3.ill advise you one thing tho. get it done as soon as possible and get it out of the way so you wont go what my wife is going thru right now.
