Hi everyone,

My fiancee completed his medical on September 2nd. His status on CEAC website was last updated on September 8th, I assume when they received his medical. We still don't have an interview date! Is anyone else experiencing these delays? Does anyone know how to get through to actually speak to someone at the embassy?? Any help appreciated!

Look at this thread to see how long it has taken others from medical to interview date. It does not show how long letter took. The last post shows cumulative data http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/549078-medical-to-interview-date-how-long-2015-data/

No way to speak to anybody that can help you but you can use the contact form to tell them you are concerned your letter has gotten lost because you have learned of others recently who did not receive their appointment letter. (It's true). Contact form http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html Pick the 5th reason. I suspect that if you pick status inquiry , you are less likely to get a reply.

Thank you! I am just getting concerned as it's been 5 weeks since his medical exam and we are supposed to get married November 6th. I will send an inquiry email and I have also hired an immigration lawyer at this point. Do you know how long I can expect to wait for a reply?

Thanks!

You do not need an immigration lawyer. What can he do at this point? You've done all the paperwork.

You did submit the readiness for interview form? Correct? Did you give the date of marriage?

Tell them in the inquiry that your medical was sept 2 and you are concerned that an appointment has been set and you didn't get the notice. Tell them the wedding date again. Tell them you can come on short notice.

Yes, he completed his readiness at the end of August. I believe he gave them our date of marriage and the date he would like to fly. I have already sent the inquiry so we will have to see what happens, hopefully I get an email back.

When my husband (then fiance) did all of this in April/May, after CEAC was updated from his medical, I called the NVC and they gave me his interview date before he even got his letter. :) It's worth a try!

Hello,

I recently emailed the Immigration Visa Unit at the Embassy and received a reply. They said his interview was scheduled for October 8th at 8am. They also stated that if the appointment letter does not arrive in time that he should not be concerned as all the information in the email provided will allow him to pay his visa fees ( they gave us some links). If he doesn't get his interview letter does this mean he can go with the confirmation email? It was issued buy the London Immigration Unit with their seal. Thanks
