They recently updated the application form, so just make sure you have the new form. Other than that there is no deadline I am aware of.

I did hear something about the embassy only keeping your file for one year from the date of interview. After that if they hear nothing from you or USCIS in regards to your waiver then send the file back. I don't know if that is true or not. Just to be safe I emailed the embassy on the day USCIS acknowledged receipt of our waiver packet to ensure the embassy knew it was in process since it was 8 months after our interview.
