Visiting the USA after recently sending I-129F

Hey everybody.

Last friday sep 25 our I-129F form was delivered at USCIS.

We should be getting the NOA1 dated next friday ( Fingers crossed)

I will be travelling to see my boyfriend in Tamp FL in a week. I wil stay for only 5 days but plan to take with me some of my moving stuff to leave at his home.

Should I say I'm visiting a friend, visiting my boyfriend or visiting my fiancé and that we are doing the K1 Visa petition? I'm working right now as a teacher and will need to return to fnis the semester (How can I prove that?)

I would appreciate a lot your input on this matter.

After filing I-129F I visited my fiancé a few times and every time I told CBP that I was going to visit my fiancé, but I never mentioned that we filed a petition. I wasn't avoiding telling them that, it just never came up. You really don't want to be lying to those guys.

If you're working as a teacher then you should bring a contract from work, or some kind of letter from employer showing when you have to be back for work. In addition to that if you have anything that you pay for, such as apartment lease, it would be helpful to bring as well. The more ties you have to your home the better. Some people choose to bring a copy of their petition with them, as proof that they are doing the whole process legally.

Finally, you mentioned that you will be bringing some stuff over to leave at your fiancé's house. I think that might raise some red flags, just because it could look like you're actually planning to move right away.

I agree with you. The only thing is that moving stuff from Mexico to the USA is very expensive and I'mn not planning to take many things with me, so taking advantage of this trio and when my Finacé comes to visit me is something we need to take advantage of.

I will try to get a letter from the University saying that I am working there and still have to cover classes.
