About to file our petition, are we missing anything?

​Hello visajourney, we are about to sent our K1 package. We are very excited and nervous and don't want to mess anything up so I have put our cover letter here (excluding personal details) to see if we have included every thing. I know we can bring proof of ongoing relationship to the interview but I want them to have all info on hand. Are we missing anything?

• Letter/affidavit from parents about our meeting and ongoing relationship (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
  
• Proof of having met in person in the past two years
  
• Include itineraries, boarding passes, luggage tags, visa stamps, pictures, letter of invitation from me (Petitioner) and my family, receipts and communication with family about the trip.
  
• Proof of ongoing relationship
  
• Include Skype call logs, Skype video call screenshots, Facebook messages, Viber messages, Couple app messages, SMS messages and packages and letters we sent to each other

Yes but my idea is that when I go for the interview, the counselor will have at least a slight idea about our background. It might be helpful if you are going through a hard embassy.

We just submitted ours about two weeks ago, and your list is nearly identical to what we submitted, giving a little front loading with the relationship information. The only thing I don't see in your list is pictures of the two of you together? I'm guessing you have them, but just not itemized.

We included my fiances birth certificate/translation as well.

You dont seem to even include the USC's, neither all the passport pages.

I think if you adhere to the guide you are in good hands...

You need to include USC birth certificate OR naturalization certificate OR passport. You only need to submit one of them to prove the petitioner is a USC.

On the outer mailing-envelope, put "ORIGINAL I-129F" -- this helps the mailroom folks know what they're dealing with.

You need to include USC birth certificate OR naturalization certificate OR passport. You only need to submit one of them to prove the petitioner is a USC.

In my case I haven't send my package yet until another 2 months but I will be included some of the "ongoing relationship" seeing that this is my second K-1 in 2 years. Best of luck to everyone on this Journey!

Hi everyone thanks for the great advice. OP's fiance here. One other question. Do we send the original suppliment paperwork & affadavit that has our signature or send a copy with the I-129F and save the original for later?

From what I have read and researched, it is required to send original signatures on most documents. The I-129F, G-325A, and letters of intent to marry need to be original signatures, what I have seen referred to as "wet signatures". I have read of some people sending in copies of some of the official supporting documents and getting by, but probably not recommended. For the affidavit you refer to, sending the original is probably not critical.
