how do i pay the $165 visa fee

how can i pay the $165 immigrant visa fee. actually, i paid using my iphone. but if feel like something is not right. the confirmation that i got after payment does not have my spouse information. do we have to create an account first to make the payment. please help

I would encourage for some things like this and visiting VJ for the best experience to use a PC.

Did you get a confirmation number? Almost anytime a payment / order is involved you would get a confirmation number?

Did you log on to the ELIS website It will ask for the Alien registration and DOS number

If you did that then everything should be ok

I do not know if it shows any info after you paid. I did not click back on it after I paid my wife fee

yes it did. it asked A number case id. and than it asked account holder info. And than that was it. it did not ask about my husband's name date of birth nothing. is there any way we can track the payment. i am super worried.

did your confirmation says something like:

Pay.gov Tracking ID

Agency Tracking ID

Transaction Type: Sale

Transaction Date

If you really want to be sure just call the number they gave you

Tell them you paid the green card processing fee but you just want to be sure

I did try to call but I don't how to reach a representative. It was just an automated voice massage

ok just check back on elis in a couple of days also you can check your bank account to see if the money was deducted from your account

Have you tried the inverse approach? Im sure your CC or bank would be able to tell you if a hold were in place.

No money is deducted yet. I guess I have to wait couple of days and than we will see. I spoke to the attorney, he said the uscis change the system. You are no longer required to create an account. He said i will get a letter in the mail and than I could track the payment. He said wait a week or two. So let's see. I sent him the confirmation email that i got and he says it looks ok

That is good and remember if for some reason the fee did not go thru you can always paid the fee again

It can be paid before coming to the USA or up to a year after arriving in USA

No he didn't come yet. His visa was able to pick up visa after 5 days.
