So by the logic of your first paragraph, does this mean if I judge others to be homophobic, I am refusing to acknowledge any homophobic tendencies I might have? If I fixate on the desire for others to have guns does this secretly mean I want to own a gun myself??

The question is not where it started, but where does it end. Bigotry, phobias and other social ailments can be cured with education; therefore, the real question is: Is our childrens learning?

Um, I got to call BS on this one. You're not born with the desire to hate other people based on skin color, religion, or sexual preference. That's a learned behavior. EIther through your parents, the environment you grew up in, or people who call themselves your peers.

I've said it more than once here, there's no such thing as an intelligent racist/bigot. Judging/hating on someone for any of the reason above renders you ignorant automatically. Education would work if you are willing to educate yourself on what's really going on. But there also has to be a healthy dose of compassion as well to balance out both sides.

Just like here, the folks who entertain ideals and beliefs that are completely rooted in hatred aren't stupid, they just lack compassion to understand you need both in the equation to learn something.

Then tell me something. How do you love someone who doesn't look like you? You're married to a woman from the PI correct? Do you feel that you're superior to her, or is it vice versa?

Not really. Superiority complex normally accompany those with endowed with puny brains. Well adjusted persons don't feel the need to be or consider themselves superior to others.
