I had a co-worker that told me a story years ago . All his close friends were going to Woodstock not knowing what it would become. He was about 16 and working at a shoe store . The boss told him he had to work overtime that afternoon . He debated for a while and said his parents would kill him if he lost that job. About a $2/hr job back then . Friends pulled up and tried to get him to go .. He turned them down .. Lost his chance to attend ... His friends attended but there were so many people that they half starved to death and once parked they could not move their car all weekend. . Traffic was backed up for 7-8 miles. Everyone was wearing mud ,hungry and stoned. .. They could hardly get close enough to hear the music. .. My friend is still upset that he missed one of the most important rock concerts ever due to a boss wanting him to work a few hours overtime.at a shoe store.

Actually This fellow was a lot like Al.....Back then you had the mini skirts and he did enjoy fitting the ladies with shoes. . He said it was one of the best jobs he ever had. ....He also was called a pervert by some of the women co-workers when we worked at the same place. Always looking for a little extra skin to see. ... And some women did dress to show a bit extra ... .
