Hi,

I just want to ask your advise regarding our K1 application. My fiance sent the forms along our requirements July 2015 in Texas and until now we haven't receive any notification that they receive it or even NOA from USCIS. My fiancee called the USCIS city branch August 2015 for follow up and as per the branch checked in USCIS-Texas they confirmed that they received the documents and will review after 2 weeks but until now we haven't receive their notification.

do you think they rejected our application? :( I hope 'NO'

I would appreciate any advise that you can give.

Thank you.

Bev

Texas Service Center is the longest for any application going through them. They are currently looking at filers from March 2015. They are very back logged as compared to Nebraska Service Center or California Service Center. So it is definitely not a rejection. There are people from TSC still waiting since January 2015 for their NOA2. Keep checking, there's not much you can do to expedite the case. Patience... :) in the meantime keep busy.

June 3: I-129F sent

Have you made a "my case status" page on the USCIS website? It might be helpful for you both. Our petition was filed on March 9 2015 and is stuck in" the black hole" at TSC. Day 204 for us and patience is running thin. Hang in there

Don't be worried, I have heard too many cases still at TSC for more than 3 months, but eventually they do get their approval. Maybe it's the lack of manpower, maybe it's just that they are facing too much volume of cases, nobody knows! But there is also another chance of your case being transferred to California of which could save you time, but if not, patience is all you've got. It'll come through don't worry, nothing is wrong with your case.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the K-1 Case Progress subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

This thread is giving me back my sanity. For some reason, all I've seen are hella quick approvals here and there. Our I-129F was filed on July 13th and our NOA1 wasn't dated until August 26th. Way over the 2-3 week period. Now we're on another wait for our NOA2, which I've seen other VJ members get less than one to two months after their NOA1. Like seriously?! How does that even happen? Our case was transferred from TSC to CSC and we were still told to wait 4 to 5 months for the NOA2.

Patience, indeed. Ahhh, but this is not my strongest suit.
