Hello friends here on VJ. You guys have helped us a lot. I need some opinion & suggestion again.

My daughter is scheduled for interview at US embassy manila in 2 weeks. Just currently getting her medical done. We have gotten the letter from NVC over a week ago. Letter says must bring the following: interview letter from NVC, passport of my daughter and birth certificate. My atty said the same thing but he also said include my husband paystub.

Any other additional documents my daughter should take? And by the way I will not be taking her for interview but my mom.

Hello been there done that last september 23 and got approved, i suggest to give your daughter a Marriage Certificate/Annulment(IF ANNULLED) (NSO COPY) original. I was never asked for those in USCIS/NVC stage, I just brought it for back up. They didn't ask anything from me part from those. I brought every original copy and even had a new nbi clearance(for 16yrs old. above only). Also make sure to give her a copy of the most recent income tax return.

Just be calm, smile, and confident you will be alright :D PRAY HARD!

Follow the embassy instructions letter, I keep telling you this. Everything needed/required is listed there, use it for your checklist.

You had to do the I-130 as you ran out of time for the K-2 ? So you follow the immigrant visa for the I-130 or the K-1/2 otherwise

My children is now here and they had their interview just around June of this year. While your child is young, she may not be asked too much. According to my children, the following questions were asked during the interview. their name, birthday, age, what grade or year level were they are at school, who their petitioner, how were they related to the petitioner, how do they communicate to us here in the US and how often, when did we last visited them, if they know where they will be living in the US, if they are excited to live in the US. My mom was asked too> why the children did not follow me ( mom ) right away in the US. How was she related to the petitioner. They consul also asked to see some pictures of us and the children during our visit.

I made them bring (just to be prepared our latest ITR, his employment letter - since when they got interview, we recently moved to a new state and my husband - their step dad and petitioner just accepted a new job, and latest pay stub> this was checked by the consul)

Also, they brought with them their Live birth Certificate ( NSO ) > this was asked

Additional but not asked ( just being prepared)

- our marriage certificate

-Annulment and divorce paper

- some valid photo ID ( state ID)

Goodluck to your child's interview

No we never had the option on bringing her w k2 because her birth certificate was incorrect. It took us a year just to get her birth certificate corrected.

Yes I remember the details, that is why I asked if you are doing the I-130 just to clarify. You follow the immigrant visa instructions letter from the embassy in the link I gave you.
