Good afternoon All,

So after not knowing what do to and after extended research I decided to self petition after being a victim of domestic violence from my ex husband. My application was received on 08/18/2015 and a letter was sent out to me on 08/25/2015. On that letter they were requesting a clearance letter from the city or cities, police department I have lived in the last 3 years, to prove that I have no criminal background and I am a good person.

On that letter also said that if I didn't get that letter asking for additional information by September 24th to contact them so I could get a copy of it. Never on the letter specified a due date. I sent the clearance letter needed by September 23rd, and saw that they received by the tracking number I got. But there have not been any other changes to my case.

I have not seen my family in Honduras in years so I am very worried about this whole process and hoping that everything goes well. If you are going through this process right now, could you advice me on what is next and how long I will have to wait for the next step.

Thank you for taking the time to read :-)
