Name change prior to ROC

Hi all,

I'm the US Citizen and my husband is Indonesian. I have not changed my last name since we got married in 2014. My question is should I change my last name prior to my husband's ROC?

Not that ts hard to change name, just to avoid any complexities with the ROC. i would suggest you to postpone it.

It is very common for us Indonesian to not change our last name. That's why me and my husband think it wont be a problem at all. But I just want to ask before we file for ROC

If you're thinking of changing your name before you become a citizen, I would do it now before you apply for ROC... If remove condition and get your new GC and then you want to change your name, it will cost you $450

Sorry just realized that you are US citizen... Yeah better not change it until he gets his 10 year Green Card... (I am assuming he is not changing his name)

It doesn't matter, you can if you choose to do so.
