How long does it take to get a Pakistan visitor/tourist visa?

So for the people who are married, you will still not likely get a 5 years visa, they gave me 1 year multi entry. I would reccomend to anyone who is married to a paki national to apply for a POC. It grants you all the rights of a paki citizen basically except you cannot vote and also acts as a 5 year multi entry visa with unlimited stay. It is a little bit of a hassle to apply for, but totally worth it.

As for the visa appointment cancellations, that had to do with the US embassy in Islamabad. This thread is about the Paki embassy in DC. The one has no impact on the other.

Yes if possible I would always say to apply for a Pakistan visa in person, much easier to get answers that way and it seems they print the visas much faster. Also, it is easier to obtain a visit visa as compared to a tourist visa.

To the OP, if it has been less than 2 years since you last saw each other, you can still apply for the K1.

Thanks for all the info! Apparently, the visa application has to also go through the embassy in Islamabad for approval. My fiance is a tour guide with his own company, so it's ridiculous for this amount of time. What I don't understand is how a person can walk into an embassy and get a visa faster. I can't beileve it could happen in a day or two. If so, what the heck are they doing for 6 weeks, and how can they investigate someone that fast? It's a 12 hour drive there, but I guess I should have taken off from work and driven to DC. I left a message yesterday because nobody would answer the phone.

Continue calling, b/c they don't return calls. I left many and never one call was returned.

Yes I have a POC and I have suggested it to a couple other people who have also gotten it. For a while they did stop issuing them to foreign spouses, but for a year now they are reissuing them to foreign spouses. I applied for mine at NADRA headquarters in ISB.
