Trump is a hilarious choice. What would be funnier is if Jesse Ventura or Hulk Hogan were in the mix.

It's more than that. It's sad, because if reflects the notion that the American people, will heed their populist and inflammatory rhetoric that would be better suited for Germany in the mid 1920's than for America, one hundred years later. I can only attribute that phenomenon to illiteracy and a profound lack of education. There is a vast part of our population, that rely on talking heads, as the source of their own opinion.

Reductive fallacy.

Its not reductive. For the talking heads to hold sway, there needs to be centralization of propaganda by a single power be it in the media or government. Unlike the world Orwell drew, the talking heads, as you put it, follow multiple factions with no clear leader.
