Siam Legal gave my wife 50/50 chance of getting her tourist visa. Please help sad.gifrock.gif. I gave Siam Legal all my documents that they ask for like copy of all my passport pages, a letter from my job in Afghanistan, copy of my us government ID card, a copy of my orders from the department of the army, bank statement, a letter of sponsorship, 2 years of us taxes, my Thai yellow house book. What is Siam Legal? I hope you are not paying a law firm to apply for your wife, as you are just throwing money away.

You talk a lot about you, what you do, what you have, what documents you have. Why? None of it matters so forget all of your documents.

And you are not sponsoring anything, there is no sponsorship for tourist visas. You need to focus on your wife's ties to Thailand, that is it. Stuff like property in her name, family in Thailand, job etc.

And yes 50/50 is the correct chance, 2 possible outcomes, grant or deny. Nobody on here knows what will happen. Just let her apply online and go to the interview.

Bring her documents showing ties, although they will most likely not even be looked at, but no harm.

Let us know how she gets on.

50/50 is the outcome, ie there are two possible results, not the chance of which one will apply in your circumstances.

I put it at about 26.82%. Give or take.

I do know precisely the odds if you do not apply, 0%.

As the only way of finding out is to apply I suggest you do so and let us know the outcome.

Biggest factor is Thailand.

I have been to 30 odd countries, some needed a visa in advance some needed a visa on arrival, never did I think I needed a Lawyer.

Now there are people with issues where legal advice might be beneficial, criminal histories whatever, but in most cases it is a form filling exercise.

So I am intrigued as to why you think you need a lawyer?

Boiler,

Siam legal was refer to me by a good friend to help us with the tourist visa because it is very hard to get in Thailand. it does not have to do with legal issues or criminal histories. you travel 30 countries is very difference from getting a visa for a Thai wife or gf. I also travel to many countries with no problem in getting a visa.

I have applied for a b, you fill the form in, not that complicated, asks for factual information, similar to applying for a Credit Card

Here at Siam Legal, we provide you with services, which may include (but not limited to) the following:

Full review of your personal, financial & employment history

All factual
Consultation and confirmation that the B-2 visa is appropriate for you

Fair enough but you know that is what you want
Extensive check-list of documents that you need for your B-2 visa

They say what is a reasonable summary of what is required:

Important Documents Needed For All Type Of Applicants

Application Form DS-160, completed and submitted
Current, valid passport or travel document
Passport 2x2 in Photograph
Application fees.
Evidence of funds to cover your expenses in the United States
Evidence of compelling social and economic ties to Thailand
US Citizens often contact us and ask if they can write a letter of support for the Thai applicant to visit the United States. Under U.S. law, however, applicants for a US Tourist Visa must qualify on their own for visas to visit the United States.

This is what applicants must do to qualify for visitor visas:

Complete and sign the required application forms;
Bring evidence that their visit is temporary and that they will return home
Show financial ability to fund their travel and stay in the US

Professional and accurate preparation of your visa application

You fill the form in on line?
Submission of your visa application to the proper agencies

You fill the form in on line
Careful preparation of all correspondence with agencies

Not applicable
Expert advise on how to handle yourself at your Consular interview

You can read about that on VJ, but you are talking about maybe a couple of minutes at the window. Most applications are decided well before you interview.
Unlimited personal communication with our US Visa Attorney

Thats nice

It seems such services are prevalent around high fraud consulates and prey on such fears.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
