They always say like that....not to leave

And i,m crying all day, i will have to wait my corrected card again almost a year, fingerprints included....and that because of just one last letter missspelled in my first name by uscis error...

Really? But they didn't tell me to not move.

And why should it take them a whole year to correct your name?

Did you get approval letter by mail? there they say not to leave while waiting for the card...

I need to file I -90 , they say it tooks 9 months, i feel awful

Gotcha....but I haven't had the approval letter yet. Hope I'd get the card early next week because I'm travelling to London next weekend.

But I'm so sorry to hear that about misspel of your name. Hopefully, it would not take that long since it is their mistake!

I received a letter in my mailbox today from USCIS with my approval of ROC. I thought they would text me??

So very happy! Says that my permanent resident card will be mailed within 60 days and that I should not leave the US until I receive it.

Approval date was 04/18/2016

Whatttt?! That sucks. They couldn't just mail you a new card with the correct spelling?

Well just got the text that card has been deliverd but my hubby is out of town and has the mailbox key lol!!! I just want to hold it and be over with it!!! I know everyone will get their approvals soon. ????????????????

I only found out that i was approved on Friday (via physical mail), and received my GC today (Saturday).

If you put your receipt number (on your fingerprint form) in the USCIS case tracker site, it should tell you when/if they mailed it out.

When I put my number in, it says when ordered for the production of your new card on April 18th....

And I kinda wanna know If I would get it next week because I'm leaving the country for my dad's funeral :cry on the weekends.

I'm sorry to hear about your father.

If it was ordered on the 18th, then it should be there soon.

Regardless, you should be able to get a stamp in your passport if it doesn't come in time. I'm certain they will work with you in such unfortunate circumstances.
