My Questions:

  • Guy, Do you think doing an early walking before above date would help application processing in any ways to fasten it up?

Hello,

I have a question about a status on USCIS website after biometrics.

What happened to me was I had to request a duplicate of my NOA1 since it never came in mail, but some reason my biometrics appointment notice came at the beginning of November, and I got my biometrics done on the scheduled date (Nov. 20th). I received my duplicate actually on the same date as my biometrics appointment date with another appointment for biometrics. Because I already went to the biometrics, I did not go for another one, which was in December 4th.

I barely checked my case status on USCIS website, and it said "Case was received", but I assumed that after biometrics, it should say something like "Request is pending" or "Decision is being made". And then, I noticed that the receipt number on my first appointment notice and the second one is different, and I thought I might have had to redo biometrics for my new receipt.

However, I have seen a post in a different forum saying that updates on the website is not always accurate, so some people constantly get their status updated but others do not.

Whoever has done biometrics already, what does your case status say on the website?​ I would call customer service center next week if it supposed to say something else besides "Case was received" after biometrics.

Mine still says case received before and after biometrics is done.... I even travel outside of the country for 5 weeks just got back with my extension..... Still no changes on the website , so I guess we just wait and see what happens in 2016. ...
