Hullo everyone, i arrived in the US in June and was married on the 28 June 2006 and my wife and i are living in Philadelphia

I was a bit lax about submitting the necessary paper work,( blame it on my depression since moving here) and my EAD/AOS paperwork was not sent off until August 06.

On 11 September I received an NOA scheduling my Biometrics Appointment, and on the 19 September i received another NOA, which informed me that to speed up the processing of my case it has been transferred to the California Service Centre.

In November 2006 i received my Employment Authorization Card, valid for one year. Since then nothing, no word at all and i am wonderings what's going on with my application.

I want to travel to Australia for a few weeks in the near future, and again later in the yeear for a longer stay. I have an approved AP, ( it arrived too late for it's original purpose, a Carribean Wedding), so i'm assuming i can use it for an Australian trip instead.

( BTW When i submitted my AOS/EAD, i didn't file a Supplemental Form to I-693, simply because i didn't have a record of vaccination history. When i arrived at Newark the Immigration Officers at the airport kept all of my documents including the results of my Medical Exam, (vaccination record within). I rang the Doctors Office in perth for a copy of the paperwork but the photocoping was so poor that the record couldn't be read properly. So i attached a letter to my EAD/AOS saying that i was on to it and would send it later, all the while hoping that i might not have to worry about it, because surely they know that i would not have even got this far if my vaccinations were not complete. I know that i can always go to a Doctor here in Philly and have them all again if I need to. I figured that i would hear from INS if it became a problem.)

Does anyone have any ideas about how long these things take?. Is my case taking longer than usual? Has anyone used an AP for other than the applied for reason?. Should I be worried?

Goodluck to all

hi there

your AP should be good to go for a trip to oz mate...that will get you back into the country when you return...

there is a CSC transfer list show many people waiting with dates so you can cross reference...look in this forum and then look for updated CSC transfer list...will give you an idea on what dates are happening compared to yours..

when i did my applications for my AOS i sent a copy of my vaccination sheet and said on the cover sheet that the orginal was handing at POE LAX....you will prob get an RFE for the vaccination sheet...is there anyway you could get another copy more clearer posted over...

also your coming up to the 6 month mark on being transferred...either make an info appointment or ring them ..

i know i havent been much of a help but know your not on your own on this ...

take care

Sorry my posts a bit confusing, but I meant that the photocopy at the Drs office in Perth is illegible.

I guess i could try to get a copy of my Medical Exam. Where is that likely to be? Sigh.....

Thanks again Frailer

There are lots of us on a similar timeline. Some people zoom through CSC, and some of us have to wait several months. Our speculation is that we're still stuck in FBI namechecks, but since there's no communication with the CSC through this process, it's hard to know for sure.

As far as the I-693A goes, expect CSC to send you an RFE for that. We did almost exactly the same thing you did (sent a note, rather than a vaccination supplement), and we got one just recently. I recommend sending for another (more legible) copy of the vaccination record from your K-1 interview, or if that's not available, sending for your original vaccination records from childhood. My husband's vaccination record from the K-1 medical only had month and year -- no day-- so the civil surgeon's nurse used his old vaccination records instead.

You can't really send those in to CSC without receiving the RFE, but you can send off for the information and get it transferred to an I-693A by a local civil surgeon ahead of time, so that when/if you get the RFE, it'll be a negligible delay.

Best wishes!

Conditions Removed! Ten-year green card received 6/24/2009. No more USCIS for a very long time.

Hullo All, today i'm more relaxed about how long things are taking and i have some fresh concerns as well. i know now that the time our case is taking is not unusual at all and may take a lot longer. I'm now concerned about some gaps in my understanding of whats has to be done now.

In Kath's reply she mentions that i'm coming up to my six months since being transferred and that i need to call them or make an info appointment. Is this something that's required? Where do i find out about this?

I've reading through the posts and i keep seeing stuff about Renewals, i suspect that i need to be know about them as well.

I just looked in my passport and my I-94 expired on Sep 4 06, that is 90 days after my arrival in the US. Do I need to get another stamp or extension or something in my passport.

I can see that I've dropped the ball with regard to this whole process and i have to catch up quick. All help appreciated.
