It was 8 years ago, I already have big tattoo on my back, so I don't mind getting one on my wrist, I've just been wearing watch or something to hide the scar, the reason too I wanted to cover it up bc I don't like people to see it and ask me why? It was selfish thing to do I nearly lost my life for this one man. Anyways, I want to cover it up coz I'm going to be sharing my life soon with my fiance's family and I don't mind them asking me and explain, it's just that I don't want to go back to my past and remember how it was.

Fair enough. That's the answer you should tell the psychologist.

Good luck.

My fiance gave me permission to share her experience because she wants to know if any of you have had or know someone who experienced this. When doing her exam, the doctor noticed a scar on her wrist. She was honest and told the truth that about 17 years ago, she attempted to slice her wrist because of something that happened to her. The doctor told her it would not be a problem but she had to report back to SLEC on 10/22. We were devastated because her interview was scheduled for 10/8. I consulted with a veteran on this forum and he told she will be fine and we will get our visa if all else goes ok. I believe that but have any of you heard of a similar situation or have gone through this yourself? Thanks for your responses.

Thanks to you and your fiancée for sharing this. I have several very noticeable scars down my left forearm from self harm. Now I know to ask my psychiatrist, whom I see on a regular basis for my clinical depression, for some sort of certification or whatever document before undergoing the medical tests.

Did she even have her interview even if she still have to go back to SLEC. I meed answers. Bc I also do have the same problem now and I'll have my medical on Friday. Waiting for your reply. Thanks

I did hve mine yesterday. It was just all questions about the scar, ask me why when and how dis I do it. The doctor's kind and he let me speak. And it took just 5mins for the psychological screening then ask me to call the number given to me in a small paper for the result after 4-5working days. I hope it'll be all good.
