Planning ahead for everything that I do, but my question is in regards to insurance. When my fiancee arrives, she will obviously be required to be insured. Until she is employed and can receive insurance through her employer we need to insure here. If I am insured through MNsure (MN low-income insurance), can I also claim her as a dependent or since it is government subsidized insurance for low income families, can she not receive it? Does she have to get more expensive private insurance?

Hi your soon to be wife can't receive no government benefits you have to insure her through the health plan market place in your state

MNsure is our state's health plan marketplace, that's why I'm not sure if she can use it.

Yes, my mother will be co-sponsoring her with me.

Why don't you call the MN low-income insurance and inquire as to what they can offer. Also, check out Obamacare and jump over to my website for some additional options.
