Another name used for I-751

HI guys,

It's not new that I had issues with my name.

First names: Ana Maria

Middle name : Gomez

Last name Santos.

Since I got married in the Philippines,. My name became,

First names: Ana Maria

Middle name : Santos

Last name: Smith

Moved to the US and started to have issues. From SSA to the bank to the credit bureau. SSA and the bank got my name corrected but until now I am still receiving credit card offers in the mail with my incorrect name.

They keep doing it as:

First name : Ana

Middle name : Maria ( sometimes Maria Santos)

Last name : Smith (sometimes Santos Smith)

I called one of the credit bureau to get my name corrected but they just added my real name as "Also Known as" Ana Maria Smith.

I applied a credit card recently and since I am scared to use my real name and get denied like the other time, I used the Ana M Smith name and got approved.

Now my question is,

Should I put that Known as name in the I-751 for "Other names used"?

In addition to this, I just called Transunion today and was advised that Ana Maria Smith is my "Also known as name" and was offered to take it out. I didn't agree to take it out yet as I am not sure how will that affect my credit history/information.

Do you think it is a good idea to just have them take it out and just leave my legal name?

Will that affect me in any way?
