Best advice is just to relax. The only thing you'll do is make the situation worse on yourself if you're stressing, and this process is already hard enough on a couple.

im confused about one thing though ive been reading http://www.alllaw.com/articles/nolo/us-immigration/deportation-removal-proceedings.htmland it keeps saying once your denied you get put into removal proceedings but you do go before a judge ? so confused i though we couldn't ?


and ive calmed down now my husband said if i get denied and we cant do anything we will come back with me <3

You are doing the VWP Express so the rules are different, you waived your rights on entry. Not that I think it will be an issue.

Congratulations. May I ask what questions they asked you? How long did it take? What documents did they ask for you? What proof did you finally bring?

Would very much appreciate if you answered those questions as we are going through the same stressful situation.

I brought joint credit card bank statments emergancy conatct details photos letters and phone bills and also old conversations and screenshots .... it was about 30 mins or so he also did ny 130 which is also approved he asked how we met when did we fall in love when we decided to get married basically everything about our realtionship to a tee also ny husband if he knew my family members names me his the date we got married met all yhe important dates just all the stuff we should know also the interview was recorded he said all of them are so i was nervous but he stated it was a ordinary thing for everyone

01-09-2015 - Went for USCIS medical

01-12-2015 - Collected I693 (sealed) from Doctors Office

01-22-2015 - Received text message saying my package had arrived.

01-27-2015 - Mail received: 4x I797 NOA for I131, I130, I765 & I485)

02-03-2015 - Mail received: I797C, NOA for I485 & I765 - Appointment for biometrics in Boston MA is 02/20/2015

02-16-2015 - Mail received: RFIE for my I485 due to our unusual finances (we own a UK business, but do not work ourselves)

02-20-2015 - Went to USCIS Boston for biometrics; Arrived at 3pm, left at 4.30pm. Went smoothly & told I have "amazingly clear fingerprints!"

- Long delay in our response to RFIE, didn't know how to respond; took time to produce compelling evidence of our good financial standing.

04-16-2015 - Finalized my response to RFIE; Response was over 120 pages, including 1 years bank statements from USA and UK.

04-24-2015 - myUSCIS case status for I-485 updated to confirm receipt of my response.

05-12-2015 - myUSCIS case status for I-765 updated to "Approved" & case history shows "We ordered your card"

05-13-2015 - myUSCIS case status for I-485 updated to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

05-16-2015 - Mail received: I-797 NOA for I765 - Confirming my I765 was approved - valid from 05/11/2015 to 05/10/2016

05-18-2015 - text & email received, stating my EAD card has been posted today and should arrive within 30 (!!) days

05-19-2015 - EAD & AP combo card received in the mail

05-21-2015 - Visited local SSA office to apply for SSN - All paperwork accepted and card will arrive 7-10 days.

05-29-2015 - SS card received

08-14-2015 - E-mail received - interview is September 21 2015!!!!

09-21-2015 - Interview at Lawrence, MA - approved on the spot after just a few minutes.

09-25-2015 - Green card received with "Welcome to the USA" document.

This thread was really inspiring! I have a few questions for those who are well ahead of us in the process. I'm a little worried about our proof as well because we are so newly married and trying to get everything we can possibly think of.

1. Do both the USC and spouse do biometrics?

2. We have joint bank accounts (checking & savings), health insurance, renter's insurance, auto insurance, and my husband is listed as an additional/authorized cardholder on all of my credit cards. However because he is on an F-1 visa he does not have a SSN and is not listed as a joint account holder of the credit cards. American Express just wanted his passport number and Citi and Chase didn't need a SSN to issue additional cards. My question is how do I prove he is an additional card holder without photocopying our credit cards? I don't really want all those numbers floating around... The monthly statements only have my name listed as the account holder...but there are charges listed under his card. Should I provide recent credit card statements for the actual filing or just bring them to the interview? I don't want people judging our spending expenses either! lol

You have more than we have, that's for sure. We only currently have a joint bank account as my husband is in the process of starting up his own business and was previously unemployed.
