Hi, I'm fairly new to this and very scared and intimidated by the whole CR-1 process. just a bit of backround for you

Me(19 years old) and my beautiful wife(20 years old) met at the end of may this year.

We worked at water park as lifeguards and she was here on a j-1 visa with no two-year commitment thank god

I fell madly in love with her, everything about her was what had always wanted in a wife,a friend,a lover. i knew she was the one.

We had trouble at first one, of me convincing her i really loved her and that it was more then a summer fling, and two once i proposed to her,

talking my parents into letting us get married.( despite my mom being hesitate at first, she like any mom was prepared and we had a beautiful beach wedding on august 16)

now comes the part that scares me, my wife left back to the ukraine and i know a lot of you understand the pain it is to lose the love of your life so i wont go into how badly i want her here again. to make things worse her parents dont approve of our love which sucks just as much. but it comes with marriage.

so i have questions

1. will it be suspicious that we got married so young and quick it was like a month of friendship and a month of courtship. i really hope not but then again they dont care about that they just see facts.

2. in the CR-1 documents needed it it says joint bank account, joint property owned, etc and as a 19 year old i dont have that at all will that be a problem(my father makes a really good amount of money so i have him to sign other support papers.

3. i live in texas can i send the I-130 to the texas lockbox and not the chicago one as texas shows quicker processing time?

4. how am i to get her to sign g-325a when she is there and im here?

5. do i have to translate all her documents myself or can it be anyone, as some of the ukrainians who worked at the waterpark stayed and are more then willing to help.

Please any help will be greatly appreciated

1 might be

2 send all the proof you have from your entire relationship tome, chat logs, pictures, plane tickets, money transfer receipts, ect

3 no you must send it to the Chicago lockbox and from there it will be sent to a service center for processing

4 have her complete and mail you the g325 a

5 anyone competent in both Ukrainian and english can translate provided they put the appropriate translation statement (check the uscis website for the exact wording)

There are many places in Kyiv that can translate her documents. One that I personally know of is on the same street as the Canadian embassy but closer to maiden (the square)

Kiev is not known as a difficult embassy. Nevertheless, start allocating funds now to be on the consular premises when her interview is scheduled. As a first action, she should shove your U.S. passport (which you'll have given her) under the window to the consul.

Before then, get as much "face time" as possible, and thoroughly document everything by means of receipts, pictures, etc.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Research everything you possibly can!

...to make things worse her parents dont approve of our love which sucks just as much. but it comes with marriage.

The culture is different and her parents were raised differently. I had the same issue with my husband's mom. His dad accepted me right away. But his mom took some convincing. One thing that helped a lot is I went to live with my husband while we waited on the process. So I met and communicated with his parents on a daily basis.

so i have questions

1. will it be suspicious that we got married so young and quick it was like a month of friendship and a month of courtship. i really hope not but then again they dont care about that they just see facts. A month of friendship and a month of courtship and you said she was "hesitant"? That really doesn't sound hesitant at all ...regardless, they'll look at the cold hard facts, not at your ages so much, but of your maturity and sincerity.

2. in the CR-1 documents needed it it says joint bank account, joint property owned, etc and as a 19 year old i dont have that at all will that be a problem(my father makes a really good amount of money so i have him to sign other support papers. Many people, myself included, have not been able to show proper support, which is why you have the co-sponsor option, usually a family member, to show that they can help support. You need to get a bank account though; it is not hard.

3. i live in texas can i send the I-130 to the texas lockbox and not the chicago one as texas shows quicker processing time? No. Note: Just because the package could get there quicker, does not mean it will be processed quicker.

4. how am i to get her to sign g-325a when she is there and im here? She can print it out, sign it, and mail it to you. Make sure she mails a couple copies (each signed) in case you lose just the one.

5. do i have to translate all her documents myself or can it be anyone, as some of the ukrainians who worked at the waterpark stayed and are more then willing to help.

Please any help will be greatly appreciated Translators have to sign that they are certified and everything was translated correctly.

No, your both adults and legally free to marry.

2. in the CR-1 documents needed it it says joint bank account, joint property owned, etc and as a 19 year old i dont have that at all will that be a problem(my father makes a really good amount of money so i have him to sign other support papers.

Open a bank checking account. Go into the bank with some money and do it.

3. i live in texas can i send the I-130 to the texas lockbox and not the chicago one as texas shows quicker processing time?

No, you send it where the instructions tell you to send it.

4. how am i to get her to sign g-325a when she is there and im here?

FedEx works wonders.

5. do i have to translate all her documents myself or can it be anyone, as some of the ukrainians who worked at the waterpark stayed and are more then willing to help.

Anyone can translate the documents. They just have to include and sign a statement that they are proficient to be able to translate. No need for certification or notarinzing.
