I-130 is pending, is work authorization possible?

Mother filed for I-130 for her daughter who is over 21, unmarried. The daughter came to the States in March and her I-94 was good until September. I-130 was filed in April. Is it possible to obtain a work authorization while I-130 is pending?

I don't think it is possible since she is over 21 and cannot be filed as an immediate relative.

it will be years before the petition is current , she needs to return home before the visitors visa expires.
