I'm just wondering , do most people attend the interview by themselves or do they go as a couple or does either way not make a difference , we finally go an interview date but of course it's the day I have to leave for work ?

I was planning on attending as well but now it can't happen

For a London interview most do not attend as a couple, but it is okay to attend of you get prior permission. It doesn't help nor hurt. It is short easy process. Most of the time is spent waiting for your five minutes standing at the interview window.

I would suggest you use the contact form to request an interview change to [give date range] because the American petitioner will be visiting and would like to attend. Give the name so they can add it to the interview list. See what happens. You can't attend if you don't try.

Thanks for the info , we'll check into that , I got the date from the nvc , we still haven't received any letter or email but we'll keep that in mind , thanks

This is the contact form http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html

Pick second reason. Type your story in the box. The sooner the better so they might have an opening. Say please and thank you.

Ours is a straight forward case , with a cosponsor if needed . I cleared the income with my last yrs tax transcript and already passed it this's yr with bank statements ( self employed ) but my dad also is a cosponsor if needed , wasn't sure if it made a difference if I attended with my fiancé and he daughter . But as you mentioned it doesn't make a difference

Would that request possibly delay the interview instead of get it sooner ? We wouldn't want to cancel the Interview just to have to wait longer .

I mean ask soon before they give out all slots in your requested time frame, ie. I would request now over two weeks from now. She can ask if it can be moved up, her fiance would like to attend. Otherwise she will attend as scheduled on [date]. A London interview is a cakewalk as is approving the I-134. They don't even discuss the money much if your proof shows enough. Line 22 of your 1040 should be over. It's after you take your business deductions when you are self employed.

Sounds daft but for convenience I would go alone, of the 3 hours I was at the embassy no more than 30 mins was at a window! 15 for docs check and 15 interview, the rest of the time sat in a very warm and crowded waiting room listening to a bing thing that announces next

The UK interview is such a non event, read through these forums I doubt any Brits have been turned down, the hard work has been done already

Good luck, enjoy the day, you will be sorted very soon
