Can anyone on here please explain the process of moving your belongings from Canada

to the US after you get the K3 visa I mean stuff like furniture and car? Is it a hassle to take a U-haul

accross the border? Do you have to fill out a list of goods to follow you?

Thank You

Michelle

Yes.. you will need to make an inventory list of the things that you are bringing. It doesn't have to be too specific

For instance, you can put 5 boxes personal clothing. 1 box kitchen utensils, etc. You don't have to individually list every single item.

If you are bringing it yourself in a UHaul, there is no problem... they'll just take a look at your list and inside the UHaul to see if it somewhat matches. If someone else is bringing it, they have to bring it after you have entered the US and will need to take a copy of your I-94 and a completed CBP Form 3299 with an inventory list.

For a car, you'll have to get a compliance letter from the manufacturer. You then take the compliance letter with the vehicle title and registration to the CBP. They will stamp the compliance letter and the title work.

Hi as for a vehicle title from what my husband has told me they don't have title's....All they have is a

ownership paper that you carry in your vehicle..Kinda like the registration paper we carry in our vehicles in

the US...Very odd I thought..
