No packet 3 yet. should i book medical?

It's crazy how tense the build up to the interview is isn't it- it's almost an anti-climax lol.

Definitely stay in touch- we actually just got back from philadelphia - it has such a great vibe, we are considering moving there - no firm plans yet, we are still in the daydreaming stage, just so happy being together for good now.

Good luck with organising everything for your move and the time will fly- before you know it you'll be here.

Current Stage: Waiting for NOA2

After NOA2 approval, case goes to NVC

NVC assigns case number (case number (SYD number) are these the same? or is there a different SYD number. Also can I start checking my case at CEAC's website with this number)

File goes to Consulate (at what point do i pay for visa fee)

Consulate send an email and we reply back with DS160 confirmation (is there anything else they ask for)

Consulate emails packet 3 (is there a packet 4 also, and is the interview date given in this email)

we get PCC and medical done and prepare rest of the documents

Interview day

Visa mailed to our address in AUS

After your USC receives the hard copy of the NOA2 wait a week or two and then call the NVC to get your case number which will begin with the SYD letters you will also get some other numbers as well, yes once you get the SYD number you can start to check the CEAC'S website. I received an email from the Sydney Consulate soon after this with my interview date and was requested that I fill out the DS160, pay the visa fee (pay online) and to have the medical done before this time (my medical was actually the day before so it wasn't at the embassy at the time of my interview but that wasn't an issue)

I didn't get a packet 4. My passport was mailed back by courier.
