No packet 3 yet. should i book medical?

Dear all,

I have looked on the CEAC site and my case is saying "ready" but i'm unsure what I do now.

I haven't received any notification from the consulate yet ( as in the packet 3) but is it ok to go ahead and book the medical or is it best advised to wait?

Also can I go ahead and do the DS-160 now?

Please can someone clear this up for me.

George St Medical Centre asks for the case number (SYD number) in order to make the booking.

I have that number..... but I haven't had the email from the embassy containing pk3, I just completed my DS-160 yesterday and sent them back a requested email stating the DS-160 confirmation number. Have you received the packet 3 yet?

Apologies, I forgot to add they also ask for the date of the interview- but that's probably something you can fudge since it's not like they check it...but sounds like you are close to getting the email from the consulate with your interview date since you emailed them that info yesterday.

I have received packet 3 yes...still working on some of the steps unfortunately though so will update my timeline once sorted- fingers crossed, sooooooon grrr!!!

Hi guys, also a current K1 member! Can I ask what your NOA2 dates were? Ours was exactly one month ago, and we're yet to hear anything. I will call NVC if I haven't heard anything by the end of this week. It's been difficult so far because we haven't been able to make international calls at the necessary times. We're both in Australia at the moment.

Does packet 3 require much from you at this stage? From what I have read, a lot of information nowadays is taken to the interview rather than posted. I have already done my police check and we are working on our Affidavit of Support right now. Good to have some other people on this journey with us!

NOA2 was 9 July and got to Sydney Consulate 17 August (via NVC) a 6 week wait...

You don't have to post anything to them in advance, it all gets taken to the interview.

The Notebook summed up the process perfectly!

Did anyone else get this message one CEAC Website? I have not gotten any notification of an interview date. Do I need to call the Sydney consulate and see when the interview is scheduled for. Or do I get to schedule the interview after I submit the DS160?

My fiancée (petitioner) got an email last Thursday requesting that I send them an email with case number, DS-160 confirmation number and some personal details, saying they would then get back to me in 1-2 business days. When I run my case number on the CEAC website it just tells me to wait for contact from my consulate with an interview date.

I received the same email as you did from the consulate, once I replied I got my interview date.
