Why???

To us, it came down to "wait for the green card apart from each other or with each other"

This is the reason why we decided to take the K1 visa route and never regretted it. We have been physically together upon arrival in US. My green card got approved after 7 months. The wait is more bearable because we are already living the married life together. The green card is secondary of our other concerns in life.

Also, my fiance and I have been together for 14 years before we applied the K1 visa  We started dating really young at age 16 so I pretty much know him half of my life :)

I wish you goodluck on your visa journey!! The wait will be worth it as soon as you are physically together and will never be apart :)
