Hello,

A family member was convicted (over a year ago) of a fraud charge. She is a Canadian citizen who would like to visit us in the US. Though she did not serve any jail time, she did serve house arrest with no issues.

She submitted an I-192 application in September 2014 which was received. In December 2014, she received an official response requesting additional information which she provided and sent back the same month. We confirmed via postage carrier it was received. I was told by the US Boarder Patrol that it usually takes 5-6 months to receive a decision but this anxiously awaited timeline has passed. Our previous requests to inquiry.waiver.aro@dhs.gov for an update only stated "In Progress".

I am hoping to receive some guidance from fellow members or hear of other's experiences/timelines.
