NVC failed to send notice for interview, and they say WE MISSED IT?

I am from the Philippines and a US citizen.

We successfully submitted my father's paperwork to get him a visa so he could live with us. However, the very last correspondence we got from NVC on June 22 stated "All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified. The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa."

We were never notified of an interview date or when we should call to make an appointment, nor did my father receive anything in the Philippines. We called NVC and they said they sent the letter and his appointment was for August 6th. After disputing it had been sent he told us we needed to call USCIS and arrange something, then we were hung up on. I called USCIS but is an endless litany of recordings and ques that are not related to my question. So who do I call to find out if I have to start all over or if I can resubmit the paperwork that was processed by USCIS back in January of this year?

Bottom line WHAT DO I DO! Help please.

You should send email to the Ambassy and explain the situation to them. They might still have the case there. Good luck.

Well, under "Contact Us" I don't see an email, which really does not surprise me. Looks like a phone call to some of the most curt and rude people on the planet is in my near future. Yaaay!

Does anyone know if my next step would be to start this process all over again if the Embassy is not overly willing to guide me in the right direction to allow my dad to get the interview that he is due?
