My fiancee had her k1 interview sept 10 2015. The consular told her she was approved and "welcome to America". Since then the status remains at "ready" as of sept 24. We have called and were told its in administrative processing. Im very concerned now. Should i be wortied?

No it's normal. they just haven't gotten to your file yet. Mine was on ready for three weeks before being touched. Even when it goes to administrative processing.....that is normal also. Every visa goes to that. This question is asked multiple times a day.

Thanks Tahoma. I started to worry a few days ago since nothing is changing. She had friends from her medical get interviewed a week later and already have their visas. This made me think they might have lost it or something. Looks like some are just luckier than others when it comes to this part.

They will contact you if they lose something. Anyway, that's what they did with us. Most likely, you'll be getting some great news soon.

In 1 more day it will be 3 weeks since the interview. This is starting to really bother my fiancee and me also. Im just wondering if anyone has an idea of whats going on. She was told she was approved no 221g or anything. What could possibly be the hold up?

Sometimes the Embassy will verify documents such as the CENOMAR. It's usually nothing to worry about. It just takes a little longer.

You can't let it stress you, just go about your business. If you let it consume you it's going to be all you think about. It's one more step in the process.....when you two talk don't let that be the topic of conversation.
