GREENCARD?

Good morning. I got my visa approved on September 1st received my packet September 2nd paid my green card fee on September 2nd and I entered usa on September 9th, does anyone know how can I track the process of my card? My case number for i130 doesn't work for it and my nvc case number doesn't work at uscis page, any help?

You use the same page that you paid your IV fee to, but you have to use the numbers what were written on the top of the paper you got with your packet from the embassy (the A number and I forget what the other one was on there).

My husband tracked his all the way through, even to getting the tracking number for the Post Office when it was produced and shipped.

U r correct....Even I have paid fees for my spouse and I got a receipt confirming the payment.....I got payment tracking id number and agency tracking id.... Now they have updated the ELIS web page and seems after August whoever paid the fees there is no way to track the status....I haven't called the customer care number yet coz my wife haven't yet immigrated. If u have entered and have paid the fees I think u should call USCIS and ask them.....

Even I m waiting to get an answer how to track the status.....if anyone gets an answer do inform here.

In the meantime the stamp on your visa IS your green card.

just fyi, it took my husband about 2 1/2 months to receive his greencard after he arrived to the united states. we paid about 4 weeks before poe.

There will be a Application number on your initial I-130 approval for example starting with the EAC or WAC number. Based on the number if you enter it in the uscis.gov check my case status you will be able to track the Green card production status. That's what I used to track when I had got my GC stamp on passport and the card came in after 3 weeks.

it was 4 years ago where they used to update the status of card. Usually the card will take about 2 -3 weeks to come in post. Once you get the same check for all the spellings, name and date of birth and pictures emborsed on the card.

Yup. I tried to check the green card status with the WAC number provided for I-130. It only gives the I-130 approved message, but not the green card status. There is no other receipt number I could find. My wife has arrived in USA 10 days ago. I am waiting for the social security number and the green card still.

If anyone knows how to track the green card any other way, Please let me know.

GC card can take upto 1 year to come in post nowdays (that's what they say..but usually it takes 2months) and you can schedule a appointment if u don't get the card in that time frame.

The stamp on passport should be valid for a year. ie stamp the POE officer gave on the applicants passport when she/he moved to US on gc through a airport (you don't really need a Gcard to travel or for job as the stamp is valid till 1 year).

But I recommend that you wait for 3 weeks before visiting SSN office if you had opted that SSN office assign u a number on the Ds230 forms during the GC process and if you have still not got the same. They will verify this from you there at the ssn office..so have patience or they will send you back.

In my case I had selected on DS 230 form that SSN office assign me a number and give me a card, but I never got one even after waiting for 2 months. So I had gone to the SSN office and requested them again where they accepted the application and sent my card in 2 weeks.

Just an update. Received green card on Monday, 5 October. Entered the US on 10 September 2015 paid the IV fee on 10 August 2015. So after entry it took approximately 3 weeks letter was dated 2 October.

Hopefully this helps others that like myself were not able to track its production.
