I'll try to be as brief as possible without leaving important information. I currently have an approved I129f and will have my interview next month. My fiancé and I have a child together, I am the (female) beneficiary.

A few years ago I got married to a us citizen, filed for I130 but we separated before uscis got to approve our petition so it was abandoned at the nvc stage. The reason for the separation was me finding out he was doing drugs and lying to me about a lot of things. I met my current fiancé very soon after separating from my ex. I got legally divorced before filing for the k1.

Of course we've been truthful and honest about my history in our petition and ever form we filled out but I am beyond concerned how it might look like to the interviewer.

And how much information should I give and not harm my case? If I say I found out he was doing drugs and thats why we separated, the logical question (to me) would be, "and how can you be sure now?"

I married in my country before, why didn't I go that route this time? The honest answer is that we believed the fiancé visa will be the fastest way to be together and thats all we cared about. Can I say that??

Also, I have 4!!!! tourist visa denials, 3 are from when I was married and wanted to visit him before filing for the spousal visa and it just looks like I am willing to do anything to get to the states.

Which is not true at all, Ive just had bad luck and made some wrong decisions, Im so nervous about my upcoming interview

The honest truth is the way to go. It may be a bit embarrassing, but remember the goal here is to get the visa.

If the interviewing officer has some doubts they may try to stress you to see if the story changes. If you're telling the truth the story always stays the same.

Wanting to go visit your significant other isn't unusual. But some folks can't get a US visa. Don't volunteer lots of extra info. But be sure to answer the questions completely.

Where are you interviewing? That info helps members give more specific advice as interviews vary from embassy to embassy.

Best of luck to you.
