Hi all,

I have few quick questions for folks whose K1 petition is being sent to US Consulate - Montreal, Canada.

First: Does US Consulate - Montreal, Canada send out Packet 3 by mail (i.e. by post)?

Second: What are the contents/documents of Packet 3 sent by them?

Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

I believe you can email the Montreal consulate (Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov) and ask if they have received your case and logged it. If they have you can go ahead and send them your packet 3 (by email).

Here is a link to what Packet 3 is and what it asks for http://photos.state.gov/libraries/canada/303578/montreal/Packet3-K1-MTL.pdf

Hello Mykonos,

Thank you for the update. Our NVC case status as per the CEAC Case status check tool (https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx) says its "Ready"

Thus before downloading and sending the documents of packet 3, we wanted to enquire from fellow visa-journey men/woman if the US consulate sends the packet 3 via post. If yes, then we also wanted to enquire about the contents / documents that are sent in Packet 3.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

Yes, they send it to you by post. It takes forever though, and has exactly the same things in it as the online pdf. I emailed my p3 stuff to them a few days after my info was received by the consulate and they got back to me in a few days, which was a couple weeks before p3 came in the post. Worst case scenario is they haven't logged your case yet and you just need to re-send the email in a few days. There's not really any point to waiting for the mail.

Hi Coni,

They usually send it by mail but it takes so long and not necessary to wait. We did our Packet 3 and sent it off requesting all packet 4 information to be emailed. They emailed us a few days latter.

You can take a look at my blog in my signature for more information on the Montreal k1 process.

Hi ConiMoni,

When we sent out packet 3 it took them about 5 days to respond with packet 4 via email.

Thanks!
