Good news and Bad news

The good news is that we have an update from someone on a different forum that had an infopass on Feb 1st and the bad news is that IO said they are only scheduling interviews for citizenship and might start scheduling GC interviews 2nd or 3rd week in Feb, so more wait time for everyone.

Seriously? Ugh! They're taking too long, I'm really hoping to be able to finally visit Mexico this summer after almost 18 years!

Don't trust their timeframe, it does not mean your case will be processed when your PD beyond the point. I have sent an email to Houston office to ask about why many cases are outside of the current

Any news from anyone in Houston recently? We applied early March 2016, and still nothing. 13 months now. We had to sent new EAD and Advance parole forms since the old ones are expiring in a week.

Around 12-13 months so you are looking at Feb-Mar 2018 for interview. I'm a July 2016 filer and have not received anything yet.

I have to tell the truth is Houston stopped sending GC interviews since the second week of November 2015. The last person got his interview is 10th Nov 2015. I do not know why they stopped at that point, may be for the Holiday season, moving to new location, and even a huge backlog they are facing. Let see how they deal with that, if have much applicants that willing file for Ombudmans so Houston will get more rush to push the cases faster.

Does anyone know if we'd have to redo our physical if our interview is a year after the physical was done? Cause I did mine I want to say in March so it should expire by next month and I am not planning on redoing it because of their fault.

For sure you will receive RFE for medical exam expired in March or April incase your AOS has not approved yet. Yelli, you have no choice, all we know this is USCIS fault, but we have to spend money for that for the lazy and delay by them. You also need to renew your EAD in April (120 days before your expired too). What is you can do is raise your Ombudmans fill out form.

My EAD expires until August so I hope I won't have to worry about that. It's unfair of them to make us waste more money we don't have just because they feel like it.

Can we change our filed office or is that only if we move? I'd be willing to drive to San Antonio if I could because this is just ridiculous!
